Embracing the enchanting world of tiki culture, I fulfilled a long-standing dream by creating the Tonga Terrace: a summer glamping spot in southwest Michigan. This ongoing passion project is a creative journey, involving diverse tasks to bring the tropical haven to life.

I immersed myself in every aspect of the transformation: replacing the camper, constructing the deck, planning and executing renovations, installing a bamboo privacy fence, replacing the camper roof, and naming, designing, and crafting the Tonga Terrace sign. While professional builders provided assistance when needed, the majority of the work bore my personal touch.

What began as a dilapidated camper with a breathtaking view has blossomed into a snug retreat—a place to unwind, mix up a refreshing mai tai, and share good times with friends.
