As the designer, art director, and producer of this project, I spearheaded the complete identity for The Potting Bench, a unique experience nestled in downtown Chicago's Block 37. From inception to execution, my role encompassed every facet, including naming, logo design, store graphics, merchandising consultation, signage, copywriting, uniforms, original patterns, and wallpaper.
Within the constraints of a "no-reno" design, I maximized the impact through thoughtful choices in signage, paint, and wallpaper. The brand ethos was carefully curated to exude approachability, local charm, knowledge, confidence, and a sense of joy. The Potting Bench emerged as not just a store but a vibrant, happy haven for green enthusiasts in the heart of the city.
